Background
Large support beams were dry rotted over time so we fabricated and installed 2 new beams.
The Challenge
Size and weight of beams made the removal and installation more challenging.
Our Solution
McKowski’s cut out and replaced the center beam and made minor repairs to the other two. All three beams were then wrapped in building paper and covered with re-sawn plywood.
The beams were primed and painted to meet association color requirements. Flashing was added to the top of each beam to prevent future damage from the day to day elements.
The result was aesthetically pleasing decorative beams to bring a new ambience to your outdoor balcony experience.
